please please please! how about wrapping (or creating) a DLL or ActiveX component that I can reference from Visual Basic? It would allow me to provide SFTP functionality to applications. This has not yet been done by anyone (as far as I know. if this is wrong, please tell me!) without a hefty charge.

Definitely, once I would like to do it. But I do know know when yet.
