WinSCP 4.2.6 - RemoteTarget/LocalTarget values in Registry
Working with Build 721 on WinXP Pro SP3.
I see that over an unencrypted FTP connection that the RemoteTarget value is populated with the target folder structure only when data is uploaded to the remote folder. The LocalTarget value is populated whether data is uploaded or downloaded.
Is this still the case with other protocols (SFTP, SCP) and when using SSL or TSL encryption over FTP, or are there instances (using other protocols, perhaps) when data is uploaded to the remote machine and the registry value is not populated?
Many thanks for your assistance. Need the info. for a forensics assignment and I don't have access to an FTP server that supports anything other than unencrypted FTP, otherwise I'd test it myself.
