winscp freezing when trying to enter long folder name
i have been using winscp for years and loved it! but for some reason lately i have found an issue. I have always used it for connecting to my windows vista laptop to a ubuntu remote server i have. now if i go to a folder with this directory length for example:
/123456/1234/12345/67891/62characterslongfoldername/
in some tests, if i make the folder only 58characterslong it will enter it fine....
the folder name is that long because its a music album titled that way. no special characters.
when i use a ftp to connect to the same server, or any other way, i dont get an issue, just using winscp.
any ideas? or is this something within ubuntu it doesn't like. i have recenlty have the server rebuilt, but it was rebuilt the same as it was before.
thanks for any help
