Reading of local directory extremely slow
Hello,
I have the following problem with WinSCP: If I switch a directory on the local side (or copy files, etc.), WinSCP hangs and the reading of the directory is extremely slow. One file after another slowly popos in on the left (local) side.
I think it has something to do with the size and type of the files which are in that folder, because I very often notice that problem with local folders containing only 3-5 very big text files. It seems to me as if WinSCP not only fetches the directory list, but tries to read the contents of the files as well and than slows down extremely when it comes to 100MB text files for example.
Can this be switched off somewhere in the options or is there a known workaround? It is only winSCP which is slow. Windows explorer reads the directory just fine.
I am using winscp portable 4.3.2 on windows XP SP3. I'm using commander interface and Explorer-style selection on both panels.
Many thanks in advance
