When first starting WinSCP, you’ll be asked for your [[ui_login|login information]]. In most cases you will only need to enter the hostname, username, and password and click login. Assuming everything is correct, you will be presented with a directory window similar to that used by Windows Explorer. Dragging of files between this window and other Explorer windows (as well as the desktop) are supported. Additional operations may be easily accessed via the right click context menu on any object, as well as by right-dragging a file or directory to another location.
