ehehe, yes, you're right. But as I has no way to upload files over ftp and my service provider customer care told me to use alternative client, that was what i had. Really old because for years i've been using winscp leaving that version of filezilla in a folder getting dust and dust year after year.

Just one question: could I have security problems or some other problem with these settings?

No. But you might have security problems from using 10 years old version of FileZilla (what explains why it uses LIST command).

FILEZILLA VERSION: 2.2.13a

Changing settings following your advice, it works well.

Thank you for your help prikryl

Re: Continue disconnecting after migration from windows to linux

What version of FileZilla are you using?
I wonder why it uses LIST command instead of MLSD.
Does anything change if you force WinSCP to fallback to LIST command too?
Set both Use MLSD command for directory listing and Support for listing of hidden files to Off.

Re: Continue disconnecting after migration from windows to linux

Please attach a full log file showing the problem (using the latest version of WinSCP).

To generate log file, enable logging, log in to your server and do the operation and only the operation that causes the error. Submit the log with your post as an attachment. Note that passwords and passphrases not stored in the log. You may want to remove other data you consider sensitive though, such as host names, IP addresses, account names or file names (unless they are relevant to the problem). If you do not want to post the log publicly, you can mark the attachment as private.

A log file from FileZilla for a comparison would help too.

Continue disconnecting after migration from windows to linux

Hi everybody, since I migrate my site from a windows server to a linux one first i can reach the root directory. But when i click into a folder (whichever) this is what happened to winscp:
log:
Error ->lost connection
Timeout detected. (data connection)
Could not retrieve directory listing
After a few seconds it try unsuccessfully reconnection. For 3 or 4 times it loops like this.
Then it enter the directory, but if i want to change or upload or someother operation, it restarts with the faulty loop that i described.
I called the support of my server provider and he told me to see if i had installed the latest version of winscp. So I downloaded it. But the problem remains.
Then support asked to me to try another ftp client and I had already FileZilla. I thought it gives the same problem, but no, it worked perfectly.
So I checked: same computer, same firewall, same ftp client settings.
No way, so i decided to write here in the hope to receive some support
Thank you.
