Filename too long, error 206, please help

Hello, I am trying to do a sync from my home computer to my "server" and while many of the files transfer, not all of them do.

When I look in the log, I see the error 206 filename or folder name is too long.

I'm sure the writers of this program thought about how it would be no good to have a sync feature if it can't get all the files. There must be something I'm doing wrong.

Please help.

Please attach a full log file showing the problem.

To generate log file, enable logging, log in to your server and do the operation and only the operation that causes the error. Submit the log with your post as an attachment. Note that passwords and passphrases not stored in the log. You may want to remove other data you consider sensitive though, such as host names, IP addresses, account names or file names (unless they are relevant to the problem). If you do not want to post the log publicly, you may email it to me. You will find my address (if you log in) in my forum profile. Please include link back to this topic in your email. Also note in this topic that you have emailed the log.

File name too long error 206

I LOVE WinSCP! It's easier to use than Filezilla FTP Client.
But can you tell me when the "206 error file too long" will be fixed?
Thank you for providing such a great FTP client tool.

For SFTP protocol (what this question is about), this has been solved a long time ago:

You might be using FTP protocol, for which this was solved only in the current beta relase:
