Uploading inquiry

I may simply be overlooking a setting, but a while back (maybe 3 years) when uploading a file I was still able to open folders and such in the remote directory allowing me to put files in queue to upload when another finishes instead of having to wait until one file was finished and then go through and do another, and another, etc.

Is this still possible? If so, how can this be done?

You probably had Transfer on background by default enabled:
