We had been recommending external customers load WinSCP to access our sftp site for uploading files. We create a unique login and password on our Linux host and maintain some scripts and archives for file exchange. We were sending some basic screen shots for people new to sftp to assist them to install and use winSCP. Today I worked with a user who has installed 5.1.8 and was connecting to our server but only had one pane open on her desktop, that being our server. She did not know how to open her own desktop pane to allow her to drag and drop files.
I have used various versions of WinSCP but not the newest. My most recent is 5.1.7. I down loaded and clicked your executable, installed click the icon it built on my desktop. I type in hostname, login and password and every version I can remember opens both my desktop pane (on the left) and the server I just accessed on the right pane.
Was it intentional for the new version of the product to only present one pane?
The user uninstalled 5.1.8 and obtained 5.1.7 from your website. Everything worked as expected.
