Error Code: 5 - Error deleting file 'abc.xml'

I got an error code 5 in the synchronization moving XML files from SFTP server to another location.It used to work fine. I have been able to manually move and delete the files except the file that was the oldest created, which means it's the file that was causing the whole transfer to fail. When I try to delete the file .I get the error:5 (badly formatted packet or protocal incomptability).
I have tried to rename it hoping to be able to delete it but it did not help.
Please any help on how to delete the file will be much appreciated .

Please attach a full log file showing the problem (using the latest version of WinSCP).

To generate log file, enable logging, log in to your server and do the operation and only the operation that causes the error. Submit the log with your post as an attachment. Note that passwords and passphrases not stored in the log. You may want to remove other data you consider sensitive though, such as host names, IP addresses, account names or file names (unless they are relevant to the problem). If you do not want to post the log publicly, you can mark the attachment as private.
