Error deleting file with version 5.8.2

Trying to delete a file in results in "Error deleting file '<filename>': S_dosFsLib_ILLEGAL_NAME" with the new 5.8.2 (beta).

Navigating the remote directory tree also fails in most but not all cases. The error messages typically look like "Error listing directory /F:/Platform/Web/JQuery: Could not retrieve directory listing S_dosFsLib_ILLEGAL_NAME".

The target FTP server is a B&R PLC, hence the rather odd remote path. But it worked with the previous version of WinSCP.

Re: Error deleting file with version 5.8.2

Please attach a full log file both from 5.8.2 and the "previous version" for a comparison.

To generate log file, enable logging, log in to your server and do the operation and only the operation that causes the error. Submit the log with your post as an attachment. Note that passwords and passphrases not stored in the log. You may want to remove other data you consider sensitive though, such as host names, IP addresses, account names or file names (unless they are relevant to the problem). If you do not want to post the log publicly, you can mark the attachment as private.

Privately attached two two log files, one for 5.7.7 and one for 5.8.2 (portable).

Re: Error deleting file with version 5.8.2

Bug 1400 broke Bug 1074. Re-fixed in WinSCP 5.8.3.
