405 Method Not Allowed

Hello,

I just installed WinSCP and tried to log in to a server I have privilege, I received an error saying:
Failed to list directory '/'
405 Method Not Allowed
What I can do is using browser to log in to the site, and navigate to the folder that I have privilege and download files from there.

Am I missing anything here? is it possible to indicate the folder that I have privilege when creating login info for the session?

Thank you very much.

Re: 405 Method Not Allowed

How do you "navigate to the folder that I have privilege" in browser, if you do not have privilege to its parent folder?

@Guest: Please start a new thread and attach a full session log file showing the problem (using the latest version of WinSCP).

To generate the session log file, enable logging, log in to your server and do the operation and only the operation that causes the error. Submit the log with your post as an attachment. Note that passwords and passphrases not stored in the log. You may want to remove other data you consider sensitive though, such as host names, IP addresses, account names or file names (unless they are relevant to the problem). If you do not want to post the log publicly, you can mark the attachment as private.

Just check the port number or credentials. This error is due to wrong connection settings
