Wrong Last modified date

Hi,

I'm using WinSCP script to download files from a ftp server without any problem for one year.

On the remote folder I download the files newer than 1 day using the -filemask=*>1D.

But 1 year after running this script I see that the files from last year (same day) were also downloaded, and when using the GUI interface the last year's files show a Last Modified Date within this current year.

See screenshot attached where the last modified date appears in 2017.
Using the mdtm command from terminal for this same file, it show a correct date in 2016

$ mdtm F__073____1610121821
213 201610286062132

Viewing files with google Chrome the correct Last modified date is showed (2016).

Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: Wrong Last modified date

How do you "view files with google Chrome"?

Please attach a full session log file showing the problem (using the latest version of WinSCP).

To generate the session log file, enable logging, log in to your server and do the operation and only the operation that causes the error. Submit the log with your post as an attachment. Note that passwords and passphrases not stored in the log. You may want to remove other data you consider sensitive though, such as host names, IP addresses, account names or file names (unless they are relevant to the problem). If you do not want to post the log publicly, you can mark the attachment as private.

I can view filelist in Chrome entering ftp://FT_SERVER:PORT_number in the adress bar.

Please find attached seesion log.
  • session.zip (10.41 KB, Private file)
Description: Session log and screenshot of the file seen with a bad date

Your server behaves rather unusually. I'm afraid you will get the same problem with many other FTP clients. It's just a luck that the Chrome works.

Note that the problem happens only for files created/modified one year and one day in the past. Not for all old files.
