WinSCP Hangs on every login - App "Not responding"

Hi -

I've run into some trouble with WinSCP recently. It's been running fine for the past few months; however, recently it has been hanging after login. No GUI displays, and the process rockets up to 80-90% CPU utilization, and I must end the process via Task Manager. I can't think of any changes that I may have made that would impact WinSCP. Recently I have installed both Apache and SmartFTP, but I doubt that would kill WinSCP.

Here's a sample connection log. I've removed some indentifying material (user names, servers). Any advice?

Addendum: I can connect successfully using the "Explorer" interface. This leads me to believe that something may be amiss with my startup directory (My Documents). Anything in particular that I should look for that may be causing the hangup?

This is known bug that will be fixed in the next release. You may try to cleanup your configuration to temporarily solve that.

What exactly do you mean by "clean up" my configuration?

I had the same problem.

Ended up uninstalling and re-installing twice. The first time I kept my configuration set-ups when asked. No luck. Still crashing out after login.

Second time I removed everything including all my configs and now I can get back in again.

The obvious drawback is you lose all your site settings but at least I have WinSCP working again and I can enter my settings in on a site-by-site basis as needed.

Please refer to documentation.
Experienced users may remove only following registry key (or respective INI file entry) not to loose all configuration.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Martin Prikryl\WinSCP 2\Configuration\Interface\Commander
