View all directories

Using WinSCP I can not see all the directories on the remote Linux box, but I can see them all while logged in from the same user (not root) when I list them via PuTTY. Is there a way for me to see them all too in WinSCP? I'm using version 4.1.8.

Re: View all directories

Please post a full log file showing the problem. Also name the directories you are missing.

To generate log file, enable logging, log in to your server and do the operation and only the operation that causes the error. For posting extensive logs you may use pastebin or similar application. Note that passwords and passphrases not stored in the log. You may want to remove other data you consider sensitive though, such as host names, IP addresses, account names or file names (unless they are relevant to the problem). If you do not want to post the log publicly, you may email it to me. You will find my address (if you log in) in my forum profile. Please include link back to this topic in your email. Also note in this topic that you have emailed the log.

Re: View all directories

Sorry, my mistake. I didn't realize that in WinSCP if I click near "Name" it sorts on the name and if I click near "Ext" it sorts on the extension. There's no vertical separator between "Name" and "Ext" so I assumed it was all one sorting option.

My other problem is that I was looking for a file, not a directory.

In WinSCP I was unknowingly sorting on extension, but I was comparing to a command line listing that sorts by name. I did not scroll down far enough in WinSCP in order to find the 'missing' item.

Thanks.
