how to delete a folder

I want to delete a folder. But, I couldn't. In the properties, I gave all read and write permissions. But, I got the error that

Cannot Change properties of 'logs1/po-edi.log'
Permission denied.
Error code: 3
Error message from server: Permission denied
Request code: 9
