@smosley: Your problem does not seem to be related to this thread.
In your case, the problem is that the server uses backslashes in the paths, what WinSCP does not support.

Are there any updates on this issue or things I can try to get WinSCP working?

I have an FTPS server running on Windows 2008 R2 using Implicit TLS/SSL over port 22.

I can connect using FileZilla without issue but I am being directed by my management to use WinSCP instead.

WinSCP connects to the FTPS server and lists the three subfolders at the root level without issue.

When attempting to CWD into any of the subdirectories, however, I am seeing the same issue where the subdirectory name is being duplicated and the CWD fails because the invalid duplicate directory name does not exist.

Any advise would be very helpful.

I'm having a similar issue that's causing me to tear my hair out! The script changes directories successfully, but when going to move the file, it tries to change directories again and fails! I'm at a loss :/ Here is my script file:

I have no problems connecting to a particular server using FileZilla and Windows FTP command line, but need the scripting capabilities of WinSCP for use in SSIS packages to handle dynamic scripts executed against multiple servers. My solution was developed and tested against other servers successfully, it appears to be unique to one particular third-party server that the script fails.

I'm encountering the same issue, where the directory path is being doubled somehow (after what looks like a successful CWD). Using the command version, I see this error:

Error changing directory to 'receive'. invalid path.

I've tried the same combination of settings as the original poster: passive/active/force IP, etc.

Unfortunately, I am not able to create a test account on the server. Any other suggestions would be very much appreciated.

I have a strange issue with WinSCP and a specific server.

The connection & navigation works fine with FileZilla.
I already tried not passive, passive, force IP, etc.
I get connected using WinSCP but when I move from / to a subdirectory /out, the command is executed twice & my /out content is never displayed:
