No action with WinSCP. It appeared after starting the computer from hibernation. 3 windows started, all had an error popup after the connection was terminated.

The problem happens rarely. I cannot reproduce it.

When the laptop woke up from standby/sleep mode and on reconnecting to the office network the error message popped up.
One SCP session was running with a connection to a computer that is on the local network and thus not available during the time that the computer was disconnected.
So the crash must have happened somewhere between leaving the office and returning to the office.
